About the Artist

Caressa Murphy.

This story is about a male lyrebird performing his dance and calling to attract a mate. In this story, there are two lyrebirds and they are competing for the female lyrebird. They dance their best and make the most beautiful sounds. She has a hard choice but she does choose one. Can you pick which one she chooses?

"Jaawan" is the Gumbaynggirr word for Lyrebird and "Yiiliwiya" is the Gumbaynggirr word for dance.
