Jaanymili is the Gumbaynggirr word for Gather (coming together).

This symbol was hand-painted by Caressa in 2024. It symbolises people gathering together and the experience shared.

When we gather together we usually talk or enjoy other's company, sometimes you might share a meal. Other times you may not want to be in the space, there might be a fight or have to listen to something you don't want to hear. Either way, you are never the same once you leave and you have experienced growth. Sometimes it may not be apparent in the moment, but you might use your newfound knowledge in the future to inspire others or use it as a tool.
